The AGM was held in Beban Park again this year and attended by 127 members as well as 11 NRGH staff members. The luncheon provided by Spice of Life was excellent. The event honoured our long time members all the way from five years service, to 40 years!
The Auxiliary presented the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital with a record donation of $800,000 this year. The donation will be used to purchase essential capital equipment for patient care and comfort, as well as support for the individual hospital departments.
In 2023 members put in an excess of 42,000 volunteer hours. 2023 was the year that we saw the Auxiliary perform over 500,000 hours of volunteering since times were recorded in the early 2000’s.
